Portugal Residency Visa

A Portugal residence visa requires a suitable basis and evidence of funds, accommodation and residence plans. D7 may suit applicants with regular independent income, and Digital Nomad qualifying remote professionals. The specialist partner assesses the basis, reviews documents and supports submission and subsequent residence steps. Hello Emirates coordinates communication. The competent authority decides approval.

Portugal residence visa VFS appointment bot in the UAE

We developed our own Hello Emirates Bot to find Portugal residence visa appointments from the UAE. It automatically monitors VFS Abu Dhabi and Dubai for available slots and alerts you.

Bot monitoring is included in our support price, with no limits until a slot is found. No additional monitoring fee is required.

D7 for stable own income

The D7 route is commonly used by applicants who can demonstrate stable own income, such as pensions, rent, dividends or other recurring resources. The file typically includes proof of means, accommodation, insurance, criminal-record documents and a plan to reside in Portugal.

Remote work and digital nomads

Portugal also has routes for professional activity performed remotely for employers or clients outside the country. Applicants normally document the work relationship, recent income, tax or residence position and accommodation. Current income thresholds must be confirmed before filing.

From residence visa to permit

Official guidance generally describes a residence visa with two entries and four months of validity for subsequent residence-permit procedures. The specialist partner explains consular and post-arrival steps; Portuguese authorities determine conditions and appointments.

Accommodation, finances and a consistent plan

The specialist partner checks the file for the chosen basis: passport, income, bank evidence, accommodation, insurance and required certificates. Apostilles, legalisation and translations depend on the issuing country and current requirements.

Portugal visa preparation worldwide

The specialist partner assesses the basis, prepares a checklist and organises documents, translations and applicable legalisation. The competent consulate follows nationality, lawful residence and Portuguese rules; personal submission may be required. Hello Emirates coordinates communication.

Digital Nomad package and timing

Partner support costs €3,500 for the main applicant. The provider confirms package scope before payment. A rental agreement is agreed with the landlord or authorised professional, a motivation letter is prepared with the specialist partner, and the applicant transfers funds personally under bank rules. Family, translations, legalisation, fees and subsequent residence steps may incur separate costs. Appointments and approval are not guaranteed.

Preparation steps

  1. Visa category choice

The specialist partner assesses income sources and suitable residence grounds.

  2. NIF & Portuguese bank account

The partner identifies NIF and banking evidence requirements; authorised persons and the bank handle the respective procedures.

  3. Accommodation & funding

The applicant agrees accommodation with the landlord or authorised professional; the partner reviews evidence for the application.

  4. Consular application

The specialist provider prepares the file and explains booking and submission at a permitted location.

  5. SEF/AIMA appointment in Portugal

After approval, the specialist partner explains subsequent residence procedures and required personal attendance.
